Zarina launched the 8-List Group to work on businesses she is passionate about, and where she believes her experience and expertise will be put to good use.

Zarina has 35 years of experience in the airline and aerospace industry at the Singapore Airlines group of companies, with varied roles in human capital, finance and business.  She has led all the human capital needs of SIA Engineering, a global company spanning  seven countries. Prior to that, she was the CFO of Singapore Airlines Cargo, where she steered its global formation across 30 countries, and navigated complex aircraft financing structures for its fleet of freighters.  Zarina has also led a business arm at SIA Engineering, with P&L responsibility for their fleet management business.

 

Zarina has overseen major transformation and organisational redesign changes, as well as new joint-ventures and business start-ups, at the previous organisations she contributed at.  She created a joint-undergraduate-degree programme with one of Singapore’s universities, recognised by the Civil Aviation Authority for licensing of aircraft engineers.

 

Zarina has always believed in community support and development, and has led the corporate social responsibility initiatives at the companies she worked at, including partnership with Habitat for Humanity across several ASEAN countries, and Singapore’s Food from the Heart reach out to schools and communities.

 

Zarina is currently an advisor/mentor at TAFEP (MOM), a panel member of Singapore’s Industrial Arbitration Court, a board committee member of the National Kidney Foundation,  a council member of Embry Riddle Asia University Advisory Board, and an Advisory Board member of Entelechy Academy, a UK start-up. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, and a Founding Member of Women in Aviation International, Singapore Chapter.

 

Zarina is an alumna of National University of Singapore and London Business School.
